PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana

up to ₹78,000
off your rooftop solar.

A central-government subsidy credited straight to your bank account. Atria files the entire application — registration, DISCOM approval and subsidy claim — so you don’t chase a single form.

The Scheme

India's biggest push for rooftop solar.

Launched in the 2024–25 union budget, PM Surya Ghar makes rooftop solar affordable for ordinary households — cutting bills, cutting carbon, and strengthening energy security.

Why It Matters

What the subsidy actually changes.

💰

A far shorter payback

Knocking up to ₹78,000 off the net cost typically pulls payback down to around three years — after which the power is effectively free.

⚡

Lower bills from month one

Generate your own daytime power and export the surplus through net metering. Most homes watch the meter run backwards.

🌱

Long-term sustainability

Every rooftop cuts grid demand and carbon. The scheme is central to India's clean-energy commitments — your roof is part of it.

How It Works

We file it. You collect the subsidy.

The national portal has a lot of steps. Atria handles every one of them on your behalf.

Step 01

Register on the national portal

We create your PM Surya Ghar registration with your DISCOM and consumer details.

Step 02

Feasibility approval

Your DISCOM confirms technical feasibility. We track it and respond to any queries.

Step 03

Installation by an empanelled vendor

Atria is an MNRE-empanelled vendor — DCR-certified panels, IIT-certified structure, installed in about five hours.

Step 04

Net meter & inspection

We apply for the net meter and coordinate the DISCOM inspection and commissioning certificate.

Step 05

Subsidy hits your account

Submit bank details on the portal and the subsidy is credited directly — typically within 30 days of commissioning.

Claim your ₹78,000 before the scheme window closes.

Free assessment. We handle the paperwork end to end.
